About this Project
Raccoon's Riddle is a point-and-click mystery game, in which you go through the laptop of Randy Rubbish, as well as other devices, to uncover who may be responsible for kidnapping Randy's daughter, Rosy Rubbish. This game began as a regular project in a game design course, but continued into a final project for the course. The game drew direct inspiration from the game Her Story, drawing on its video narrative aspect, but particularly drawing from the desktop gameplay and uncovering mysteries in files. We believed this project was a great success, garnering a excellent grade, positive feedback, and placing highly in the GDC Pitch 2026 Independent Games Festival.

My Work
This project was largely a team effort, though I stepped up to help manage the project and ensure we met deadlines. I was the Lead Programmer for this project, utilizing the game engine Construct 3, which primarily uses visual scripting. I led team discussion for designing the gameplay loop, as well as creating the narrative. I specifically designed the UI/UX for the interfaces, such as the windowed desktop programs, as well as the Phone UI. I wrote the script myself, as well a direct the voice acting. I edited all of the videos myself, though the subtitles were done by Ayden.
